Speed rails increase the efficiency of bartending by keeping the common liquors on hand at all times. It all depends on the mounting surface, but in general if you're trying to hang the speed rail from an ice well or any piece of underbar equipment, a mounting kit will be necessary. if you're comfortable drilling directly into whatever substrate you're mounting against, you can skip the mounting kit.
